Our Values•We can make a difference in the world, one person at a time.
•Individuals have a right to live in the least restrictive environment, most natural setting and in a place where they can learn to live up to their full potential. •Individuals have a responsibility to themselves, their families, and communities they live and we will work to assist them in maintaining this responsibility. •It is our duty and obligation to uphold the rights of all individuals in our care. •We will strive to provide a program environment that is safe for our person’s in our care and rewarding for all staff, foster/adoptive parents, caregivers and contractors. •We believe that the families, individuals, and ourselves have a responsibility to work and find positive solutions to any challenge that may arise. |
Our ProgramOur program focuses on understanding the impact that the behavior of a child or youth in care has:
·On the child or youth themselves; ·On the foster parent and the foster family; ·On the community at large including the school; ·On the child or youth’s family of origin. As such we believe in assisting children and youth in understanding the issues behind their behavior and empowering them to learn alternative coping skills; We also teach the foster parents and family to understand these behaviors, provide interventions to assist the child or youth to find alternative behaviors and to reduce the impact the child or youth’s behaviors have on the home. |
